Duwayne & Jenni: "Our 5 pledges for Downham"

Julia Fletcher, Jenni Clutten and Duwayne Brooks will be a strong team for Downham

Liberal Democrat by-election hopefuls Duwayne Brooks and Jenni Clutten have launched their 5 pledges to make Downham a better place.

They are:

To work with Phoenix to tackle years of Labour neglect of Downham's council housing
To join forces with Downham's Police team to fight crime locally
To make Southend Village special again by putting a halt to Labour's dithering
To campaign for a regular skip service for Downham so people can get rid of bulky rubbish easily and cheaply.
To keep in touch with a regular Downham FOCUS Newsletter and four advice surgeries each month.

Jenni said, "It's been great talking to Downham residents over the last few weeks, and hearing about their concerns first hand. Duwayne and I, together with Cllr Julia Fletcher, will be a strong voice for Downham at the Town Hall."

Duwayne added, "We are offering the people of Downham five positive pledges, whilst all Labour can offer are negative slurs. The contrast between us and them could not be clearer."
