Climate Change campaigner and Facebook pioneer comes to Forest Hill

Steve Webb MP is visiting Forest Hill next week
Climate change and renewable energy will be top of the agenda when Lewisham West & Penge Liberal Democrats welcome Lib Dem MP Steve Webb to Forest Hill next week as part of their regular series of "dinner & politics" events.
Local activists will also hope to get some campaigning tips from Steve, who has been pioneering the use of social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace for contacting constituents.
Steve Webb took on the Climate Change and Energy portfolio in the recent reshuffle, shadowing cabinet minister Ed Miliband, and previously held the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs brief. Steve was one of the first MPs to using blogging and social networking sites for campaigning and communication purposes and is at the centre of one of the largest political Facebook communities.
